Burgers and Dogs

Who says you can't have a good time in the city without spending lots of money?

We kicked off this weekend's city adventure with the best hot dog in the city. This isn't some advertisement scheme either, Gray's is seriously the best. Gray's Papaya has been ranked number one in the city and beats any other hot dog vendor i've ever eaten at by a long shot. Which is probably why it has been featured on so many different medias, such as television, movies, and publications.

I hadn't eaten that day and the craving for dogs started on the train from Poughkeepsie. We had decided to head up town to Gray's on our way into the city, and I basically ran off the train to get there I was so hungry. Upon arrival I decided to keep it classic and simple with some kraut and mustard.

You cant go wrong with that! Including their famous papaya drink, which they derive their name from, the total came to less than $5. This was the perfect amount to get me to my next stop.

After having the hunger edge taken off, we walked off the dogs and worked our way further up town to Shake Shack near Central Park. We grabbed a few burgers and fries togo and ended up taking them to the park to sit and people watch while devouring our food.

Shake Shack may have the most eye appealing burgers i've ever seen and on top of that they're delicious.

It was a good time all around. We spent lest than $15 on food and saw a lot of the city on foot.
